Context

Since 2010, Man’eco has sold, rented, refurbished and repaired professional cleaning equipment for local authorities, care homes, hospitals and businesses in Normandy and Mayenne. Its Wix site had aged: slow on mobile, inconsistent information, few paths to a quote request.

The challenge

Modernise the site without losing the Google rankings already earned, stay on Wix so the team keeps running the shop and orders on its own, and turn the site into a source of quote requests.

What I did

  1. A 39-page SEO audit, done in August 2026: 6 topic clusters, 30 criteria, a 6-month editorial calendar.
  2. Platform choice: Wix rather than Shopify, Webflow or WooCommerce, to keep the shop and the team’s autonomy.
  3. A prototype generated with Wix’s AI, then a new site on Wix Headless and Astro, faster and fully under control.
  4. Quote journeys: a permanent quote button, a form with 6 request types, parts search and a compatibility check by serial number.
  5. Art direction drawn from the company’s real building, chosen from six AI-sketched options, and exploded views of the machines linked to the spare parts.
  6. Migration: 240 URLs inventoried, 54 redirects, structured data on every page.
  7. Google Business Profile audit: 21 corrections ready to apply.
  8. A performance dashboard: objectives, 34 alert rules and an action plan, up to the August 2027 measurement review.

Proof

  • Mobile Lighthouse performance from 90 to 98 (home, category, product page) on the new site, measured on 17 October 2026 before launch. The previous prototype scored 55.
  • No accessibility violations found by axe-core as of 16 October 2026, on the pages tested from 320 to 1,440 pixels.
  • At the last check, all 240 URLs tested lead to a page.
  • Business results will be measured after launch, at the August 2027 review.

Method

Scoping first: measurable objectives set before the work began and a “nothing invented” rule for every product claim. During the build, a 76-question questionnaire gathered the missing information from management.

Who did what

The code, the research and most of the documents (the August 2026 SEO audit, Google Business Profile audit, dashboard, redirect plan) were produced with Claude, under my direction. My role: strategy, scoping, the choices (including the visual direction, picked from six AI-proposed options), review and sign-off on every step.

Visuals

Home page of the new Man’eco site: large “Vente location SAV” title, photo of the building and van, parts search by machine.
The new home page and its three doors: demo, repair, parts.
Exploded view of the i-mop XL scrubber with numbered markers linked to the spare-parts list.
An exploded view linked to the spare parts sold online.
Header of the i-mop XL page: title, “Request a quote” and “Request a demo” buttons, product photo.
A product-range page: two actions, none decorative.
